Aftercare

Brow aftercare

Shaping leaves the skin around the brow a little pink and open for an hour or two, and a fresh tint keeps developing its final depth for a day or so. Both settle quickly if you leave them alone.

For the first 24 hours

  • No make-up on or around the brow, including brow pencil and gel.
  • Keep the area dry where you can — no swimming, sauna or steam.
  • Do not rub, scratch or pick at the brow line.
  • Skip fake tan and self-tanning drops on the face.

Looking after the colour

  • A tint lasts around two to four weeks and fades gradually rather than all at once.
  • Oil-based cleansers and heavy creams on the brow will fade it faster.
  • Brush brows through with a clean spoolie each morning to keep the shape sitting right.
  • Sunscreen protects a tint as well as your skin.

Between appointments

  • Four to six weeks for a reshape; a tint on its own can be sooner.
  • Resist tweezing in between if you are growing a shape out — it undoes the mapping.
  • A new patch test is needed if it has been more than six months, or if you have been unwell, pregnant or started a new medication.

Message me if…

  • Any itching, swelling or redness that starts after you get home.
  • Colour that has gone darker or patchier than you wanted.
  • A reaction at the patch test stage — stop and tell me straight away.

Get in touch — I would far rather you asked.
