Aftercare

LVL lash lift & tint aftercare

The lifting solution carries on working for about 24 hours after you leave, which is why this window matters so much. Get it right and the lift holds for six to eight weeks, until your own lashes naturally shed.

For the first 24 hours — the important bit

  • Keep them completely dry. No washing your face over them, no shower spray in your eyes, no crying at the television.
  • No steam, sauna, swimming or hot yoga.
  • No mascara, no eye make-up, no eye make-up remover.
  • Do not rub your eyes, and try not to sleep face-down into the pillow.

After the first day

  • Wash and dry as normal, but be gentle — pat, do not scrub.
  • Mascara is fine. Waterproof mascara is not, because taking it off means rubbing.
  • Brush them through with a clean spoolie in the morning and they will sit properly all day.
  • Oil-based cleansers and creams around the eye loosen the lift over time. Use something oil-free if you can.

Keeping them in good condition

  • A lash serum or a little castor oil, from the second day onwards, keeps lashes conditioned between appointments.
  • Leave at least six weeks between lifts. Lifting too often is how lashes get brittle.
  • Book the next one when the curl starts to drop rather than when it has gone completely.

Message me if…

  • Any stinging, watering or swelling that starts after you get home.
  • Lashes that feel dry or crispy rather than soft.
  • A patch test reaction at any point — stop and tell me straight away.

Get in touch — I would far rather you asked.
